The 6% of organizations that perform best with AI are the ones that redesign their workflows around AI and adopt best practices.
That's what the McKinsey State of AI 2025 report shows.
You might already ship 100% of your code with AI, 10x faster than before. But are you even shipping 100% of the value you create?
Codifying your ways of working in line with best practices is non-negotiable if you want AI to act reliably — and to get the most out of Human x AI collaboration.
On the Product, Design and Tech (PDT) side, this simple 6-step workflow maps the full value creation chain, from insight to revenue, and aligns every team involved.
1/ Qualify — Prioritize your signals: customers, support, sales, data. Decide what is worth your time, what will create value for your customers and for your business.
2/ Frame — Focus on the problem, don't mention the solution. Pinpoint precisely what problem to solve and what would be the impact of solving it for your business.
3/ Define — What the solution is and what success looks like when you release it. Define the smallest use case you can solve while delivering the most value possible.
4/ Deliver — Build the solution, one functional unit of value after another, in full transparency, until the acceptance criteria are met.
5/ Enable — Train the teams internally so they can sell efficiently. And make the most of the logical chain Persona → Problem → Benefit → Solution → Feature.
6/ Learn — Look back: did we reach our business impact? What about our measure of success? Do we iterate? Do we kill it? Or do we call it done?
Every step has its own skills, tools, activities, deliverables, guardrails and gates. Fed with the same shared context, the flow is optimized to extract maximum value at every step and promote self-improvement.
You're probably already working the Define and Deliver steps. So what do you risk by ignoring the complementary ones?
Without Qualify: a roadmap built on opinions.
Without Frame: solutions to problems nobody has.
Without Enable: features nobody knows how to sell.
Without Learn: the same mistakes, on repeat.
Can you justify with insights what's on your roadmap? Is the handover to Marketing and Sales smooth or hairy? Do you measure the impact of what you ship?
This is the work I do with my clients and their teams: encoding handoffs, standardizing deliverables and ensuring that your AI is the catalyst for greater value creation, not just faster delivery.
